Arturo Gonzales, MA, Ph.D

Arturo Gonzales, MA, Ph.D. Dr. Arturo Gonzales, Executive Director of the Sangre de Cristo Community Health Partnership a non profit organization which has integrated behavioral health and medical care services in New Mexico through the SAMHSA Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment Model. Dr. Gonzales brings 25+ years of administrative and program experience in the areas of Health Care Planning, Primary Care Practice Management, Rural Health Care Delivery, Managed Care Planning Implementation, Development of Community Collaborations, Development of Integrated Services to Indigent and Special Populations, and Facilitation and Strategic Program Planning.

As Executive Director of the SDCCHP-SBIRT program Dr. Gonzales has been responsible for overall programmatic administration direction, budget, and implementation of the CSAT federally funded (SBIRT) program implemented in rural FQHC primary care medical clinics, school based health clinics, public health field offices and 2 Indian Health Services medical clinics. Included in the implementation has been the implementation and connectivity of Telehealth infrastructure for purposes of psychiatric consultations and behavioral health manpower development via regular clinical supervision and training. Dr. Gonzales serves on the National Advisory Committee to the Administrator for the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Thomas Peterson, Ph.D.
Clinical Director
Dr. Thomas Peterson Dr. Thomas Peterson is the Clinical Director and Regional Clinical Supervisor for the Central New Mexico Sangre de Cristo-SBIRT sites. Dr. Peterson is a licensed Psychologist educated at the University of Alaska Anchorage and the University of New Mexico. His background includes the provision of integrated mental health services in inpatient and outpatient medical settings, individual and family treatment for substance using adolescents and adults, and clinical research of evidence-based treatment models for substance-using adolescents. Dr. Peterson is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers Organization (MINT). He provides introductory, advanced and specialty focused MI trainings and provides clinical supervision for advanced skills development.

He is also actively involved in the development and implementation of telehealth technology as a resource to provide training, supervision, consultation, and behavioral health services to rural New Mexico.

Tony Gallegos

Tony Gallegos

Tony provides videoconferencing and technology support to organizational staff.

He administers the statewide organizational telehealth videoconferencing network and manages the scheduling and use of SDCCHP's MGC50 Polycom video bridge.

Tony also maintains all organizational technology and associated equipment including computers, video codecs, routers, switches, wireless access points, VOIP phones, website, email, tablets, cloud based EHR and company servers.
